Mt. Arayat Protected Area
Mt. Arayat Protected Area is open to trekkers and mountaineers from both the Magalang ang Arayat side. The traverse can be completed within one day. Another magnet for some visitors is the seven stations of the cross in the PA itself. Stations 1 to 7 are located just outside the gate of the PA, and still within the physical boundary of Magalang. The Banal a Bunduc with its Station of the Cross attracts a multitude of devotees during the Holy Week. This attraction is a potential source of revenue from entrance fees alone but collection is being challenged by a religious organization that funded the construction of the Stations and the Protected Area Management Board. Mt. Arayat was closed to trekkers since the pandemic; no reopening date has been set by the PAMB. Distance from Magalang Municipal Hall: Less than seven kilometers
PSAU: Pampanga State Agricultural University
Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) operate the ALIAS Center (Alternative Low-Input Agrcicultural Systems) which provides technical education to target audiences like small scale farmers, retirees and agribusiness owners. They have a demonstration farm for various crops and livestock as well as a kitchen for the alternative food meat products. They also have an exhibit area cum store for processed foods and drinks like powdered sweet potato, mulberry tea, and fruit wines. Distance from the Municipal Plaza: about three kilometers.
Angeles City Flying Club
The Angeles City Flying Club is a membership club for flyers of ultralight and single-engine planes. Some of their members are also into remote controlled
model airplanes. The club has ten rooms for overnight stay of members and a restaurant for both members and non-members. The fee for a 15-minute flight is about P5,000 pesos. The Club is already self-sustaining with about 150 members that it does not have to actively promote itself. However, visitors may be allowed to experience flying depending on
aircraft and pilot-instructor availability. Distance from Municipal Hall: 5.5 kilometers.
