In collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Local Government of Magalang, headed by Mayor Malu Lacson, the LGU successfully conducted the social pension distribution by the national government.

This program provided PHP 3,000 to each Magaleรฑo senior citizen who were deemed qualified by the DSWD, which is the accumulation of 2 quarters-worth of pension.

Mayor Malu expressed full support for the program, announcing her other initiatives, including free maintenance medicines, especially for the senior citizens, local social pension for qualified senior citizens, medical assistance and burial assistance.

This Social Pension distribution for senior citizens follows the guidelines outlined in Memorandum Circular No. 16, Series of 2021.
