The Local Government Unit of Magalang, through its Development Fund under the leadership of Mayor Malu Lacson, delivered a fleet of 17 Urvan ambulances to the Magaleños.

The blessing of these vital vehicles was led by Reverend Father John Paul Cabrera, adding a spiritual dimension to the occasion. Each of these ambulances is equipped with essential life-saving equipment, ensuring that they are well-prepared to handle emergencies effectively. Also present in the said event are SB Member Norman Lacson, ABC Chairman June Marimla, and barangay officials of Magalang.

 

Out of the 17 ambulances, 16 have been assigned to various barangays across Magalang for immediate rescue purposes. These deployments are expected to significantly improve the town’s ability to respond swiftly to medical emergencies and crises within its neighborhoods.

Proper training will also be given to barangays for the proper handling of patients and ambulances, ensuring that these resources are utilized effectively, and lives are saved.

 

Furthermore, one of the ambulances has been handed over to the Bureau of Fire Protection Magalang, amplifying Mayor Malu’s commitment to collective safety and rescue efforts.

Mayor Malu Lacson reassured the community that the barangays with ambulances are encouraged to help their neighboring barangays in emergency crises, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration within the municipality.

 

The mayor also emphasized that the remaining 11 barangay will have their dedicated ambulances delivered next year. This forward-looking approach demonstrates Magalang LGU’s sustained commitment to enhancing the overall well-being and safety of its residents.

This ceremony marks a significant step forward in the municipality’s ongoing efforts to fortify its emergency response capabilities and provide timely assistance to those in need.
