BASAHIN | Mayor Malu Lacson appeared before the 11th Sangguniang Bayan during its 10th Regular Session last October 14, 2022, to discuss her request of granting her an authority to sign a Memorandum of Agreement between the LGU of Magalang and the Department of Labor and Employment regarding the GIP or Government Internship Program for Magaleños in Brgy. San Isidro. The Mayor said this project would benefit Magaleño youth who are jobless and are seeking first-time employment to gather work experience. She emphasized that the LGU will monitor this project in coordination with the Barangay.
Magalang Mayor Lacson also requested for an authority to sign a Memorandum of Understanding that will benefit farmers and skilled Magaleños who wished to work in Korea. The Mayor said the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) would be used to as a requisite for the signing of agreement with various potential employers in the Agricultural Exchange Project with South Korea. She also mentioned that she and Governor Dennis Pineda would embark on a trip to South Korea in the coming weeks, along with other officials of Pampanga, to meet with different employers in the said country to enhance this partnership further. She explained that this Memorandum of Understanding would not only improve the technology we currently have in farming but also give valuable experience to future farmers who will have a chance to work in South Korea.
The Mayor thanked the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, headed by Vice Mayor Joseph Guzman, for the hard work and support that they have given.
